Dogs are lovely creatures & are adorable. No doubts about that. But if there is one in close radius, I have an anxiety attack. I do everything to avoid getting near them. Also have dreams of dogs chasing me! How do I get rid of this fear? My partner has the same thing for dogs..Her fear is inversely proportional to the size of the dog - the smaller the dog the more petrified she gets. I am a Veterinarian and to me it is irrational but I would not say it is irrational for her or anyone to have such phobias as each of them have a strong underlying reason embedded in our brain's circuitry.
